Annually 20 thousand children with cardiac diseases are born in our country. And only few relatives can pay for expensive operations and treatment.
The charity fund "Children hearts" started in 2002 from a letter of the mother of little Katya from Nizny Novgorod. The girl needed an operation and, almost giving up all hope of help, Katya's mother turn to the fund for help: money for operation and treatment were found. During the last 7 years there are over 800 people like Katya whose life was saved through the funds involvement. 800 lives saved through the help of complete strangers but indifferent to problems of other people.
The fund "Children hearts" helps not only to cure children but arranges medical survey for children in outlying regions for, as you know, a disease diagnosed in due time is half the battle.
Sometimes people come just to get moral support and advice as nay is said to nobody here. Then the place of despair is taken by hope and belief in future as the key mission of the fund: "Children shall not die of incurable diseases! Children shall not die of the lack of money of adults!"
